I have a diploma in Pregnancy massage, and offer treatments to women from the 13th week of pregnancy onwards. This is usually a gentler style of massage, but is highly effective at relieving preganancy-related aches and pains, stress and anxiety. Most of the massage is performed side-lying, with my client comfortably supported by pillows, and in this position the entire body can be treated. This full-body routine is fantastic for soothing the often aching lower back and shoulders, legs and feet. It also helps to gently drain fluid which commonly collects in the feet and ankles. The massage can also include the head and face, and if requested, gentle strokes around the abdomen.
